Do you really want to be a better sailor?

Sounds like a stupid question, doesn’t it! Believe it or not, I’ve asked people that question before, and they’ve said ‘No’! They’re happy with mediocrity. That’s OK. Winning is not everyone’s bag, although I find it hard to relate to people who don’t want to get better at something. If you really don’t want to get better at sailing, you really won’t like SailJuice.com.

Sailing is an easy sport to make measurable improvements in. Why? Because there are so many aspects to the sport. It’s not like the 100 Metres running race. You either run fast, or you don’t. Yes, there’s starting, strategy, tactics, a fast finish, and all that. Athletes break down a race – even a 10 second race – into its constituent parts. It’s always made me laugh when they talk about tactics though. How much tactics can you fit into 10 seconds?!?

In a two-hour sailing race, on the other hand, that’s where tactics, strategy, starting, finishing, psychology, speed, fitness, and so many more things come into play. That’s what we study at SailJuice.com.

Not only that, but we ask the very best sailors what they do, and how you can apply it to your sailing. If you follow their tips and advice, you cannot fail to get better at yacht racing. SailJuice.com is packed with how-to articles and MP3 audio interviews with the world’s greatest sailors – Olympic Champions, America’s Cup winners, experts in all the different areas of sailboat racing.

Here’s a small selection of the sailors whose tips and secrets are revealed in SailJuice:

  • Ben Ainslie (Olympic Champion)
  • Glenn Ashby (Tornado medallist)
  • Darren Bundock (Tornado medallist)
  • Geoff Carveth (SB3 World Champion)
  • Russell Coutts (America’s Cup winner)
  • Nick Craig (OK & Ent World Champion)
  • Marcelien de Koning (470 World Champion)
  • Roger Gilbert (SB3 World Champion)
  • Joe Glanfield (Olympic medallist)
  • Iain Percy (Olympic Champion)
  • Leigh McMillan (Tornado medallist)
  • Stevie Morrison (Fireball & 49er World Champion)
  • Nick Rogers (Olympic medallist)
  • Andrew Simpson (Olympic Champion)
  • Tom Slingsby (Laser World Champion)
  • Anna Tunnicliffe (Radial Olympic Champion)

Here’s what one of our happy subscribers, James Downer, RS400 sailor from Cowes had to say:

“I think the site is brilliant. I believe that knowledge is more important than material things in sailing. i.e. as long as my sails are reasonable I believe I’d make a bigger gain (at my standard, which is a top 5 condender in the 400s) learning things than buying a new jib. I’ll happily buy a book for a tenner or do a day’s coaching for 50 quid just to pick up one thing. But already after only sieving through a few articles on Sailjuice I believe my knowledge has increased substantially! I feel after less than a week i can justify the money already.”

If you want to find out how to take YOUR sailing to the next level, then head on over to SailJuice.com .
